What are your hours?
Back to topWe are open seven days a week from 9 am until 4:30 pm. Summer hours (July 1 through Labor Day) are 9 am until 4:30 pm Sunday through Thursday, and 9 am until 5 pm Friday and Saturday.
What is the admission cost?
Back to topThe price for adults and children age one and over is $10.95 per person. Children under one are free. For groups of 15 or more, there is a discounted price of $8 per person (reservations are required)
Where is the museum located?
Back to topThe museum is located at 21st and Race Streets. Our full address is 210 N. 21st Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103. We are directly behind the Franklin Institute and are a block off of the Ben Franklin Parkway.

What is the age range for the museum?
Back to topThe museum’s activities, exhibits and theater programs are designed for families with children ages seven and younger. For very young children (3 and under), the museum offers our Barnyard Babies exhibit. Children who are over seven may find the museum too childish or boring, but, depending on the child, may enjoy the fun!
Is there parking?
Back to topMetered street parking is available on the Ben Franklin Parkway and on the blocks surrounding the museum (please be advised, these spots are rare!) There are also parking lots within walking distance of the museum.
How long does it take to go through the Museum?
Back to topBecause every child is different, it’s difficult to put a specific length of time on your visit. Your child may spend 1 hour in one exhibit alone! We advise giving yourself 1½ hours.
Where can we eat?
Back to topPlease Touch® has a lounge area in our Recycled City exhibit that has snack, juice and milk vending machines. You are more than welcome to bring lunch with you and eat it in that area. There are two pizzeria/deli restaurants that offer sit-down service within 2 blocks of us. There is also a deli/convenience store behind our building. TGIFriday’s is located on the Parkway approximately 3 blocks away.

Is the Museum handicap accessible?
Back to topYes! There is a ramp leading to our exhibits gallery in addition to an elevator. All of our restrooms are accessible as well.

Do you allow strollers?
Back to topStrollers are certainly permitted inside the museum but must be parked in our lobby. Our gallery floor cannot accommodate strollers with the exception of special needs cases.
